Supported cameras
The Stacker reads the raw files of most cameras from Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic and Pentax, and any camera that saves standard DNG raws. These are the models we have checked by opening their raw files. Each is shown with the color it gets.
- Measured color
- Color data measured for the model: the stack opens in the camera’s own colors, white balance as shot.
- Close color
- A general color model with the camera’s own white balance: natural and close, not exact. Fine-tune it with the Temperature and Tint dials, or measure your camera with Match My Camera’s Colors.

Not listed? Other models from these makers usually work too; we just haven’t checked them yet. Exported 16-bit TIFFs, PNGs and JPEGs can also be stacked.

These raw files don’t open in the Stacker yet. When one is in a folder, the app says so and leaves it out.
Olympus / OM System, Nikon High Efficiency, Canon sRAW, processed DNGs
- Olympus and OM System raw files
- Their compressed ORF raw files don’t open yet (checked on the E-M1 Mark III and E-M5 Mark III).
- Nikon High Efficiency raws
- HE and HE★ files from the Z 8, Z 9, Z 6III, Z f, Z50II and Z5II don’t open. Set the camera to Lossless compressed or Uncompressed for night shooting; those work.
- Canon sRAW and mRAW
- The small raw sizes are stored already processed. Shoot full-size RAW.
- Already-processed DNGs
- DNGs written by an editor after processing, such as Lightroom’s Enhanced or denoised DNGs, aren’t read. Stack the original raw files; stacking already does the noise reduction.
